Lewis the Pug-Rescued From Neglect

Pug Lewis, age 8, came from the Tri cities yesterday. He is one sick little boy and is almost to the stage of needing a transfusion. His white blood cell count is extremely high. He will have to stay at the clinic until his white count is down, and he is no longer in danger of a transfusion.

When Lewis was first brought to the shelter, he was covered with thousands of fleas. I have thanked my contact there for giving him a flea bath and calling us immediately. The Animal Control officer said if anyone came looking for him, all they were going to get was a citation for neglect. Lewis is being assessed by our veterinarians to see if there is some way to get his blood count back up. Please keep this little guy in your prayers.

Please consider donating to DFW Pug Rescue. All that you have to do is click that green donate button there on the right. It will pull up your paypal account and that's it!!!
